Sporting Clay Courses
(Open All Year)

No alcohol may be consumed before shooting of any kind

Sporting Clays is referred to by some as "golf with a shotgun." Triple J is pleased to offer challenging courses to accomadate the novice and experienced shooters. With all targets set in naturals surroundings, the Triple J clays experience will create memorable moments for all.



SPORTING CLAYS COURSES
Open to the public all year round, Triple J Wing & Clay's sporting clay courses are set up in natural surroundings to imitate actual hunting situations and give you that “real life” hunting feel.

The equipment you will need to enjoy sporting clays is basic:

  • Your favorite shotgun or gun rentals are available
  • At least two boxes of shells
We say at least because we are sure one round will not be enough once you've tried it.

We also recommend a shooters bag or vest to carry your ammo.

Triple J Wing & Clay offers multiple courses that vary in degree of difficulty to cater to shooters of all skill levels. One round consists of 50 shots at 50 different targets consisting of singles, report pairs, true pairs, and rolling targets.


5-Stand Building
Enclosed and Heated for Shooting Action ALL YEAR ROUND

Our 5-Stand building is a mixture between trap and sporting clays shooting. 5-Stand is a great way to get a sporting clays like experience in a small amount of space, with very little walking.

Shooters will rotate through 5 stations shooting at 5 targets at each station for a total of 25 targets per shooter.

On the first pass at each stand, the shooter gets a 2-shot single target from one of the numbered presentations. Next, each shooter gets either a report pair, or true pair to attempt. On the third and final pass, each shooter will receive another report pair or true pair. Once the shooter has attempted all 5 targets, they rotate to the next station.

Triple J Wing & Clay offers different skill levels and shooters will see a wide variety of target presentations. Targets can be launched in a set sequence or a sequence that is unknown to the shooter to add the element of surprise.

5-Stand truly recreates the conditions you see in the field while hunting. Take advantage of our heated and covered facility for shooting fun all year round.



Sporting Clay League

Triple J Wing & Clay will be hosting a Spring Sporting Clay League starting April 16th, 2013. Teams will consist of 3-5 shooters. Shooting will be allowed at any times that Triple J Wing & Clay is open.

    Includes: 4 hours, 75 bird team flurry (5-stand), 100 targets/person clay course, sight pairs (one per group per station), ear plugs, safety glasses, ammunition aprons, 3 boxes shotgun shells each person, 1(one) hour pitchers (after clays), 1(one) hour pizzas, appetizers, Jager Bomb Shots (after clays)
